INTERNATIONAL CENTER FOR TRAINING, INNOVATION AND RESEARCH (ICTIR) is non-profit organisation that operates at regional, national and European scale in the areas of training, research, education, culture, citizenship, inclusion employment and sustainable development. The organisation is created and run by experienced trainers, teachers and professionals in several fields (law, policy development, engineering, pedagogy, science).
ICTIR has two divisions: The Training, Education and Employment Division, which works in a variety of programs for students, adults and seniors, and the Youth Outreach Division, which focuses on implementing high quality youth and youth work related activities in a non-formal framework.
ICTIR is currently involved in the management and innovation of training, personal development and employment programs for various target groups. It specializes in education – training, culture, lifelong learning, social and sustainable development, social innovation and entrepreneurship, education for intercultural citizenship and youth work. The organization has extensive experience in the development of personal and professional development trainings through development of curricula of courses for adults and young people with the aim of strengthening their skills.
The organisation is aimed at promoting the social inclusion of people with fewer opportunities and from different social, economic and educational backgrounds.
At the moment, ICTIR is involved in several actions where it creates programs for trainers, teachers and youth workers. For this purpose, the organisation is developing mythologies, courses curricula, digital tools and distance learning programs.
ICTIR has a strong digital component as several member of its team are specialised in digital education, digital media production, development of e-learning platforms and development of integrated websites. The media produced includes but is not limited to: videos, animations, MOOCs, web platforms and websites, mobile applications, etc.
ICTIR youth workers division runs several programs in areas such as: European citizenship, entrepreneurship education, active participation, self-development programs, education for sustainable development, climate change awareness, soft-skills.
Currently, the NGO carries out European and national programs, cultural programs and provides several trainings. The organization operates in the field of developing online educational platforms and supports e-learning activities in vocational training.
With other partners, ICTIR started to develop new teaching and training methodologies using ICT and works on the development of digital online platforms that offer training and education for the acquisition of new skills for the target groups.
The strong points of the organisation are the capacity to innovate and use solution-oriented approaches that are applied as part of its regular processes; networking capacity, connections with a wide variety of stakeholders (private and public institutions); the experts members – trainers, digital media experts, instructional learning designers, project managers, youth workers, engineers, entrepreneurs, specialists in the field of well-being and mental health and other experts in various fields.
ICTIR is a new organisation on paper, however, its members have a strong previous experience working for other profit and non-profit entities over the past 20 years. The expertise of its members lays in working with different target groups in several areas of training and educational programs. The target groups aimed by ICTIR are: low skilled adults and long-term unemployed adult, NEET young people, adults and youngsters in risk of social inclusion, adults and youth living in rural areas, women at risk, immigrants and members of unstructured families.
ICTIR experts rely on their experience in developing local and regional activities in the field of training, culture, employment, sustainability and climate change awareness and in their wide experience of implementing outreach actions, needs assessments, e-learning programs, research reports and studies, digital media and online educational tools.
ICTIR staff members are skilled in all stages of the project, from design to implementation and reports. The NGO also counts on a senior team member in charge with dissemination able to develop and implement communication campaigns (including the use of digital marketing strategies and gorilla marketing) to disseminate project results and outputs to wider audiences at European level and beyond.
